Reinstatement of potable water treatment plants to ensure continued mining operations.
Iduapriem mine has 4 potable water treatment plants that are responsible for supplying potable water to accommodation camps and mine administration buildings spread throughout the facility. However, these plants had reached a point of deterioration and an urgent intervention was needed in order to prevent the non-supply of potable water.
PROXA assisted with the assessment of the condition of all equipment, including the quality of the water produced from the facilities. Based on our findings we then provided a cost-optimised plant refurbishing solution.
HOW PROXA ADDED VALUE
We drew on our extensive supply chain relationships to expedite the procurement of the equipment required in the shortest time frame possible. What’s more, we didn’t only focused on the refurbishment of the plants, we also ensured that the produced water was within specifications for potable use. We also made certain that there was no disruption of potable supply to the users at any point in the project.
Boreholes across the site.
Potable water compliant to World Health Organization (WHO) standards.
PROXA engaged its global relationships to contract local contractors to execute the project in the shortest time frame possible. We also provided training to the operators of the systems to ensure that they are able to sustain operations long after we had left the site.
