Patrick has more than 30 years of experience in environmental, water and wastewater businesses. His career has taken him from France to South Africa where he was CEO of WSSA for a decade and most recently, to the United Arab Emirates. Patrick, who was appointed Chairman and CFO of the PROXA Group in 2008 and JORD PROXA in 2024, holds an MBA from the University of Hartford, USA and completed the General Management Programme at CEDEP INSEAD, France.

Wimpie van der Merwe

CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER

Wimpie has more than 25 years’ experience in advanced separations technologies and their application to water treatment, environmental protection and energy transition. Appointed Chief Technology Officer in 2015, Wimpie drives the Group’s technology focus. In the course of his career, he has gained invaluable experience working on projects in Australia, France, Scotland and Africa. Wimpie holds a Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering and is a graduate of the Wits Business School General Management Programme.

Yandre Burger

GENERAL MANAGER

Yandre has 15 years of experience and joined PROXA directly after completing his studies at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. Having completed 10 years in design and project management, Yandre relocated to Australia where he assumed the role of Technical Sales Manager, taking charge of all techno-commercial activities. Yandre was appointed as Acting Managing Director for PROXA Australia in January 2022. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering.

Dumi Luthuli

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER: PROXA SOUTH AFRICA

Dumi has 27 years’ experience in the Sub-Sahara Africa water treatment industry, covering design, construction, operations & maintenance and business development. He joined the Group in 2013 as Chief Operations Officer – Public Sector and in 2022, Dumi was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of all water treatment activities in South Africa, effectively uniting PROXA’s private and public sectors under a single leadership team. Dumi holds B.Sc (Chemistry), B.Tech (Chem. Eng) and B.Com qualifications.

Paul Browne

MD OF JORDPROXA

Paul is an accomplished, highly resourceful executive management professional with over 25 years of international experience managing large organizations and delivering projects from inception to completion. Formally trained in Economics and Law with a thorough and wide skill set which enables quick understanding of the complexity of issues that arise and the ability to offer robust and comprehensive solutions. Paul is a results-driven business leader who creates shared vision & leads from the front to build, empower & motivate multi-cultural, cross-functional teams to achieve sustainable targets.

Jakub Jasiński

MD PROXA MOBILE EASTERN EUROPE

Jakub is a seasoned professional with 19 years of experience in the wastewater and water market, specializing in collaboration with both the municipal sector and private companies. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on market development and supporting business growth across Poland and Central Europe. Jakub has led complex investment projects and provided specialized services tailored to a wide range of industries. He holds a degree in managing information in business and completed MBA studies, earning a certificate from Oxford Brookes University.
